A new kind of assessment

How does your team actually work with AI?

Everybody on your team is using it. Almost nobody has talked about how. People hold strong private opinions about what AI is good for, who is checking its output, and whether it is saving anyone real time, and those opinions rarely get compared out loud. This assessment puts them side by side.

What it looks at

30 questions, 5 areas

Every statement is written by us and rated one to five. No jargon, nothing that assumes a particular tool or vendor.

  • Access and Use

Judgment and Quality

Whether people stay in charge of what AI produces

  • Verification and Accountability
  • Fit for Purpose

Why bother

The interesting part is where you disagree

Most teams have one person quietly doing half their work with AI, one person who tried it once and gave up, and nobody who has said either out loud. The score matters less than the spread. When four people rate the same statement one, three, three and five, you have found your next retro topic.

The questions are deliberately uncomfortable in places. Whether a named person stands behind work that AI drafted. Whether your quality standards are written down anywhere a tool could follow them, or just carried in people's heads. Whether anyone would notice a confident-sounding mistake before a customer did.

Everyone answers privately, so people say what they actually think. You see the distribution, never who said what.

Free on every plan

Including the free Starter tier. No add-on, no upgrade prompt in the way.

Ask the whole team

Invite people by email. They answer privately, without an account, and the answers aggregate into one result.

Coaching on every question

The report carries written guidance on all of them, with something worth reading alongside each one. AI coaching goes deeper using your own answers.

Roll it up

Look at one team, a team cluster, or the whole organisation. It stays separate from your agility scores, because it measures something else.

Questions

Good to know

What does the assessment actually measure?

How your team works with AI day to day, not which tools you bought. Who uses it and for what, what gets checked before anyone relies on the output, what happens to sensitive information, and whether anybody can tell if it is paying off.

How long does it take?

Thirty statements, rated one to five. Most people finish in about ten minutes. You can invite the whole team by email and have everyone answer privately, then look at the spread together.

Does it cost anything?

No. It is included on every plan, the free Starter tier included. There is no add-on and no upgrade prompt in the way.

Do we need to be a software team?

No. It was written for the delivery teams Sparkirel already works with, and worded so the teams alongside them can answer it honestly too. Nothing in it assumes you write code.

Is this an AI maturity score we can compare to other companies?

It is not a benchmark against other companies, and we would rather not pretend otherwise. It is a mirror for one team, and a way to see where people disagree with each other. That disagreement is usually the most useful thing in the results.

What do we get back?

A report with written coaching on every question, not just a score, plus something worth reading alongside each one. You can go deeper with AI coaching that draws on your own answers, and you can roll results up to a team cluster or the whole organisation.
